“And you're the designated driver, I'm not afraid, 'cause I'm a rider„ It was around 9pm and it was already dark as hell outside. There were people who liked darkness, and people who didn't. There were people who liked the sun and people who didn't. Most of the so called "creatures of the night" rather enjoyed the darkness when humans in the other hand liked sun more. Sure, there were exceptions though, quite a few. There were exceptions in both humans and in vampires. One of the exceptions was Yuji Himekami. He's a pure-blood vampire from a royal and known family, as well as the heir. Even though sun does give him headache and make him feel dizzy he still rather likes to see the daylight rather than the night. Already since he had been a kid he had felt like that way, forcing himself to walk under the sun even if it did hurt. Nowadays he's able to bare it quite well, though most of the times he does need to take painkillers. But he's a student after all and the classes are usually during the morning or during the day. Also because of that, he had learned how to hide his pain. Oh, he wouldn't show a single person that he had a terrible headache, but would just rather keep a smile on his face. He hated having weaknesses. Who didn't?
The whole evening he had been texting with his friend and his loyal servant, Hiyuu. There was something he wanted to know, but since Yuji didn't trust in cell phones (he's rather old fashioned) he told his friend to meet him later on in the park. There they could talk, not having to worry about the phone bill. Not that Yuji gave a damn about it; he had money. He just often used it as an excuse, because the words you speak aloud, disappear, but even if you delete a text message... where does it really go? That's the way he felt at least. "Weird obsession" had Hiyuu once told him as a joke, because the boy really thought it was ridiculous to be so cautious. How could he not be? Maybe he sometimes over did it, but it was "just in case". He wanted to just make sure.
Anyway, at the moment the boy was lying on his bed in his room, waiting for a text to arrive from his friend. Hiyuu would be verifying to him any second now, whether he could meet him at the park or not. As soon as possible. Meanwhile, Yuji stood up, starting to change his clothes just for something casual and comfortable, as always. He also pulled a black mocha jacket on and then finally wearing his shoes as well. The other boy hadn't even replied to him yet, but there was no way Hiyuu would tell him "no" or anything like that. Therefore he even left from his room, walking through the long corridor of the Chi mansion until finally getting a text which said shortly said "ok, see you soon (:". Himekami read it quickly, placing his phone back to his jacket's pocket while still walking forward. As he reached outside of the mansion, he felt a cool breeze against his face, causing him to lift his jacket's collar a bit more in front of his face. He had decided to take a short cut through the forest, not taking too long as he had already reached the park.
Yuji had always enjoyed seeing the park. It was great to take roads in the park, just watching the whole beauty of it. Also, he loved the sandboxes (which were now covered with snow), slides and other stuff meant for children in there. With a few slow, small step he reached one of the swings, sitting down and checking the time from his cell. His left brow arched as he noticed that he had gotten a text message; he hadn't heard it. "Sorry, sorry! Seriously sorry! Could we meet tomorrow? Your father told me that I need to do this one thing right away or... I don't know. Please forgive me?" ... After reading Yuji closed his eyes, calming himself down. Why hadn't he heard the text earlier? Slowly the young vampire re-opened his eyes taking a look around, not seeing a single person anywhere. Well, he had already come that far away, so why leave now?
"So dark..."
He commented at himself quietly, still sitting on the swing. This was kind of his luck actually. Or rather Hiyuu's luck. He wasn't angry at his friend though. It wasn't his fault after all. And Yuji was glad he had decided to go outside, because fresh air did good... at times.

Its all about fast cars and cussin' each other A pretty uneventful day, though it still wasn't exactly over yet. It had just gotten dark which meant that for the vampires the day had just really begun. Though it wasn't as if they were nocturnal even if by legend they were suppose to be. The sun was just a little bit harmful to the vampires, pure and not which meant most of them preferred to stay indoors during sunlight if there was nothing important to do. Lavi was one of those types of vampires. He didn't like the effect that the sun had on him and tried to stay out of it as much as possible to avoid feeling sick and weak. This probably made him even more sensitive to it when he did go out in the sun but in those cases he wore many layers of clothes. He also chose to have all of his classes in the afternoon and around when the sun started to set. So up until then the days are always boring.
Once the moon started to rise lessons were usually up and Lavi had the rest of the night to do whatever he pleased which mostly included walking around the college. He could spend only so much time inside of the Chi house before he got annoyed. The hours spent in the mansion either consisted of him being reprimanded for something or avoiding as much as the older vampires as he possibly could. He had enough lectures in classes and didn't want to listen to anymore from people who thought themselves his guardian. It was frustrating that some treated him as if he was an idiot simply because he often did things without thinking. It wasn't that Lavi didn't know what he was doing, he just preferred to not wonder on the consequences because then everything was more fun that way. He refused to turn into one of those vampires who thought they were so very wise and tried to control everything and were so extremely boring and dull. If he had to be an heir to the royal family then he was going to enjoy as much as he could before they actually passed him that title and gave him responsibilities.
In an attempt to not return to the Chi house he found himself wandering towards the park before it could be helped. It was impulse that drew him there so he continued to walk upon realizing his surroundings. There was usually nobody ever at that park anyway since the bonfires and such were held on the weekends and it was too late for people from the near village to come visit. So he would be safe there and get some alone time to gaze at the oncoming stars that started to illuminate the sky. It was beautiful out in the night like this and he wished that it could stay like this constantly. But it was only a wish, a very irrational one and he was aware of that. Well it didn't hurt to dream so as long as the stars and moon were in the sky he would do just that.
He continued on looking for somewhere that looked pleasing to sit or lay on the ground and noticed the swings set up ahead. There was someone already there, just sitting and it was a male. He couldn't recognize the person considering he was coming from behind them but Lavi decided he would walk forward and spark a conversation anyway. It was just the type of person that he was and he could handle the company of those who weren't trying to belittle him. As he got closer he felt something familiar and it settled until he was positive that he recognize the presence. It was an aura or something, except it was more internal then anything else and Lavi was of course always drawn to such a thing. It was just something that came with his line of vampires and though it was often annoying, in situations like this when he was forced to find someone that he didn't mind being around he actually was happy for it.
"Yuji..." he drawled out once he was close enough to the vampire whom he now recognized. It was rare seeing him out in the dark since Yuji seemed to be one of those vampires who didn't care, or perhaps liked the very uncomfortable feeling of the sun. For someone that's suppose to be a nocturnal creature he knew that the night bothered him a bit. It was weird, and something that he would never understand but Lavi never questioned it mainly because he didn't want to start a fight over something so trivial. He reached out quickly, arms wide to encircle around the other royal's chest tightly in a hug. "You're out late" He stated with a small smile, though it wasn't really late but for someone who didn't like the dark it was rare. He was a bit curious as to what the older vampire was doing out here since he didn't think he was waiting for him. But that wasn't too far of a stretch actually considering their relationship of being friends/lovers/mates/who knew or cared.

“ Hit me like a ray of sun burning through my darkest night You're the only one that I want, think I'm addicted to your light „ A cool breeze hit his face again, causing him to shiver a bit which why he placed his hands against each others and tried to warm them up a bit. He didn't even have gloves with him, just the jacket, though he was still doing alright. He wouldn't be freezing to death. Of course not. He was a vampire anyway, so he wouldn't even die just like that. Besides it might be just lack of blood that he felt slightly cold. It has been a few days since he has drank it last time. Yuji wasn't in the need of blood though. At least he didn't feel that way, because he was feeling just fine and wasn't feeling like attacking anyone.
All of sudden he could feel a familiar presence nearby him... coming towards him. His eyes narrowed slightly, because at first he felt slightly confused about the feeling he had just gotten, but soon already turned to look towards the comer, a flash of surprise forming on his face for a second. He certainly wouldn't have expected meeting Lavi in the park. This wasn't a bad thing though. He rather enjoyed spending time with the other royal blood boy. There was no simple explanation to it, and not even him knew why he was often so drawn to him. Well, because of his personality he tried not to think about it too much. Also especially because he was the heir of Himekami family he needed to be extremely careful with his actions. Not that he most of the times cared though. When he was with Lavi, he often just forgot about his family (and about Lavi's family as well) for some weird reason. He still tried to act as normal as possible, though at least Hiyuu had noticed some differences in him.
"Lavi."
He spoke the other's name, acknowledging the fact that he had mentioned his name as well. It didn't take long that the boy was already in front of him, leaning bit down to hug him. This surprised Yuji, because he had never been all that good with such situations. Of course he did not push Lavi away or anything, but tried his best to give a small hug back to him, even though it wasn't much. Besides... it was just a hug, right? Why did he have to react so cautiously? Lavi wasn't even a human, so there was no danger of attacking or anything. It hadn't even felt uncomfortable. He heard the other boy mention about him being out late. Yeah, it was weird to see him out around that time during school days. He didn't dislike dark or anything though. He just liked to spend time indoors more when it was late. Plus he just liked the sun more, perhaps because he wasn't necessary supposed to like it, because it hurt him.
"Yeah, I was going to meet Hiyuu, but he had other plans after all, so I decided to stay anyway. The air is refreshing." He started, still sitting on the swing and looking bit away from the other boy. "How about you? How come you are here?"
Yuji asked, turning to look at Lavi again. He was actually glad to have some company, especially when it was this guy. He wasn't in the mood to be all alone anyway, because that's the only thing he had been doing that day. It was great to get to talk to someone. He was now totally concentrated on the other boy, not even realizing the coldness anymore. He totally forgot about it. He noticed though that he was acting quite calm and polite, the way he always acted in school and around most of the people. He was able to be himself around Lavi though. Which necessary wasn't all that good... His parents would be happy to find out though that he got along with a pure-blood vampire from another royal family. But how would his father react if he would find out that there might be a bit more than friendship involved?
Booyah >< I told you it would be sucky )x Wrote in a hurry. Need to pack up my things now. :S

I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror we're on the right track yea I'm on to a winner Lavi almost felt like snickering at the hesitant and uncomfortable return of his hug. It was hard to make out whether the other royal was surprised or not but Yuji didn't seem like he was one for affection anyway. Especially in such a public area, which was of course why Lavi did it. To see how the other would react in some way. Such things didn't bother him at all, and Lavi was not the type to care of people's opinions of him so he did what he liked. But it wasn't as if went around hugging everyone, only those whom he liked or felt comfortable enough around. So Yuji was a frequent target for his touching and some time clingy moments. Like now.
He pulled away a bit reluctantly after the strange exchange seemed to be over and sidestepped from Yuji until he reached the next empty swing and sat down. He couldn't remember the last time he actually sat on a swing, his parents weren't exactly the most careless people around to let their child run about in the park. So this was something of a new experience, though he wasn't doing anything but sitting and looking forward. It still felt weird, but he could enjoy it because Lavi did like to try new things. It wasn't that childish, besides Yuji was doing it first so the blame could go to him if anything since everyone seemed to think he wasn't allowed to think on his own anyway.
He turned his attention to the older vampire as he started talking and noticed that Yuji was also staring elsewhere. It should have been easy to predict that he was in the park because of Hiyuu. The two of them were always together since Hiyuu's family worked for the Himekami. Or something like that, Lavi didn't keep track. The entire blood ranking within itself was stupid and he took no part of it. That was probably why he always got in so much trouble, if he could then he would pass on his last name to someone else who wanted it. He had no need for it. He didn't behave like they wanted him to and honestly he was surprised that his family have yet to disown him, but then again... they would eventually need a heir. Lavi has actually considered being with someone that wasn't pureblood nor vampire simply to spite the hell out of them. Yes he could be cruel and vengeful, who wasn't?
He breathed in softly, concentrating on Yuji's words so the lack of an attention span didn't cause him to wander elsewhere and be rude to his friend. "I don't know actually" He answered the question as the other turned to look at him also "I was walking around and ended up in the park and saw you so I came over" It was the most honest information that he could give Yuji since that what happened in a nutshell. The part of the pull and such could be omitted considering that wasn't something that the other really needed to know and Lavi didn't really feel like talking of it. "Impulse?" He questioned though it was meant to be more of a statement then anything else. He gave a small laugh and kicked off the ground gently so that the swing would move forward. What if someone actually saw them like this, sitting in the park swings and talking so late at night. Yuji would probably have a panic attack... Lavi laughed, finding his thoughts amusing and wondering if the other would actually panic at being caught. Maybe he should hold his hand or something, that would be even more fun for him.
"I hope you don't mind" Lavi added as an after thought . It was actually the first time that it crossed his mind, that maybe Yuji would prefer to be alone right now. So he felt a little bit guilty about just sitting so casually before asking. Even if they were friends, everyone wanted alone time sometime so he was probably invading. Not to mention Yuji originally came to meet Hiyuu and now Lavi wondered if he was being annoying to the other vampire. It was only Yuji that could actually get him to consider his actions even if at the moment it was too late because Lavi was the type of person who jumped before thinking. It got him into a numerous amount of problems and he has yet to change but situations with Yuji actually made him think if he went about something the wrong way. "I could leave" He spoke quickly feeling now as if he should apologize for acting so abruptly and so... Lavi. But even still he made no action to stand up as if he was truly about to leave. The swing was much too comfortable.

“ i wanted to be connected to you it's the first time i had such a feeling „ It really had surprised him to meet Lavi in such a place. He was curious to know why the boy was wandering around there as he felt like the pure-blood wasn't really the type to just decide to go to the park all alone. The hug... had surprised him as well and it seemed like Lavi had noticed this and was... amused about it? He just tried to ignore the want, not wanting to feel embarrassed nor even show the fact that he was feeling that way. They weren't in middle school anymore anyway, so he wouldn't act that way either. he had to admit that he wasn't against getting touched. Well, at least not by Lavi. Somehow he was just different. He actually hated it if someone would pat his back or even just touch him by accident unless it was him. He seriously had no idea why it was like that, but thought it would have something to do with them both being royals. Maybe his inner self thought that Lavi was good enough to touch him, but others weren't? He certainly hated the idea of that, because he had always been fair and not thought low about anyone, but how else could it be explained?
When the hugging was over, the other boy sat next to him on the other swing. This certainly was unusual, though he didn't mind one bit. Usually when they happened to meet there usually was at least a third wheel, so they weren't able to really catch up on things, but this time there were just the two of them. He wasn't exactly sure what he should think about it (or if he should think anything at all), but for now he decided that finding a topic of which to talk about was more important. It really was weird to see them there, sitting on the swings. If Hiyuu or someone would come there now they would probably blink their eyes and be all "what the fuck?" and think that they were having some kind of emotional moment or something. That would be quite embarrassing. He wasn't the type of person who would try to start correcting stuff. People could believe what they wanted, he didn't care as long as he, himself, knew the truth.
Hiyuu's family really did work under Himekami's, but it was not like they forced them to. They had wanted to actually. They still could say that they didn't want to and just could leave if they wanted to. Hiyuu could as well. The half-blood boy had actually chosen himself to be Yuji's personal helper, and Yuji hadn't refused. If that was what he wanted, then he let it be so. To be honest, he didn't like the idea of servants and stuff, but it was work as well. Plus he had already gotten used to them. Everyone who lived in a rich family had servants, or most of them had at least. Yuji didn't know any that had none, though he did know that some people didn't like to have servants. Especially some students weren't fond of the idea. He felt like Lavi was one of those, and he did think that the boy was right in a way. Yuji just often tried to think "well, at least they have a place to work at". Better that than being jobless, right?
"I don't know actually"
He heard the other royal reply which why he turned to look at him. So they both had ended up there without a real excuse? Well, Yuji did have Hiyuu as a reason, but he could have just left when he found out that the boy wasn't coming. Yet he had stayed. He wasn't regretting it though, seeing as they didn't meet all that often. Or not all alone at least. This was weird in a way because they both were in Chi, but of course both of them also had some followers, like he had Hiyuu. He didn't ever have much time to be alone because of this which was a shame, because he liked to be alone. Though this time he really would rather have Lavi as a company. Yuji watched as the other boy kicked the ground slightly, starting to actually swing which caused him to grin a bit though he was able to hide it. Impulse, he had said. Eh, well this was interesting. For some reason he actually started to think about destiny and faith which soon caused him to get some shivers; he wasn't the type to wonder about such things. Not at all. Luckily the other boy laughed slightly soon which why his attention was drawn back to him, having a curious look on his face. Why had he laughed? He decided not to ask about it, not sure if he even wanted to find the reason. He had probably done something stupid which why the boy had chuckled like that, so he really didn't want to even know.
"I hope you don't mind"
Yuji's eyebrow arched a bit at this question, again looking at Lavi. Hope he didn't mind about what? The hug? He totally hadn't been concentrating enough well for the past few moments, so he wasn't quite sure what the boy meant and was feeling bit confused. Soon though he heard the other boy say that he could leave which why the look on his face returned to normal, calm one. Once again he turned to look away, pondering what to say. He really didn't mind that Lavi was there. Like said, he actually rather enjoyed it... in a weird way. He felt like he shouldn't feel that way, but how was he supposed to change his feelings? He was confused enough as it is. All he knew though that he didn't want to see Lavi go, but wasn't sure how he should word it so that he wouldn't sound too eager or caring or anything like that.
"I don't mind. You can stay." He finally said, looking bit away still. "I would bore to death if I was alone."
That was good enough, right? It didn't sound too eager, did it? At least he felt like it was just a normal reason or excuse, hoping that the other boy wouldn't think too much about it. Even though it was already late, he hoped that they would be able to talk a bit longer. He doubted that Lavi was going anytime soon since he had started to swing as well, and neither was he, so there was nothing to worry about really.
"So how have you been, Lavi?"
Yuji had always liked the sound of the other boy's name which why he also liked to say it, though he did always address people by their names when talking to them. It was just a habit of his. Being polite? Well, it didn't really matter as long as the other boy wouldn't think about it too much either. He didn't want Lavi to think that he was weird. ...Unless he already did. That wouldn't be all that surprising, would it?
